New case study: Making surgical robotics more flexible with forpi™ markers

Stäubli robotic arm equipped with an Atracsys omni-directional forpi marker for optical tracking in surgical robotics.

We are pleased to share a new case study highlighting the integration of Atracsys omnidirectional forpi™ markers into the Romed:X platform.

Romed:X is an R&D platform for surgical robotics bringing together complementary technologies from Stäubli, SQI, Conicio and Atracsys. The platform combines robotic assistance with navigation capabilities to explore more flexible approaches to instrument positioning and trajectory-based procedures.

The case study looks at how the 360° visibility of forpi™ markers can reduce constraints related to marker orientation and tracking configuration. Within the Romed:X platform, this enables greater flexibility across different instrument trajectories and configurations while helping simplify setup.
